Dark Night of the Soul-Exit Ego is a double album and came about
via Crowdfunding on Voor de Kunst.

So they are two albums where Dark Night of the Soul contains analog synthesizer sounds
in combination with the spoken words of Eckhart Tolle, Bill Hicks and Alan Watts.
And improvisations on Fender Rhodes and CP80 e-piano.

Exit Ego contains piano improvisations, two Billy Joel songs, some earlier compositions
mine for the Searing Quartet and in solo piano setting and a version of 'Zomaar onverwacht'
(for which I received the Annie MG Schmidt prize with Gerard van Maasakkers in 2012),one
jazz standard where I play the piano and my former teacher Irv Rochlin sings. Irv passed away
April 2020 at the age of 94 in the US. Irv was a pianist in the Glenn Miller big band
in World War II and accompanied Dexter Gordon and Ben Webster on their tours
in Europe.
